DUSHANBE, July 22, 2014, Asia-Plus — A delegation of China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD) is arriving in Dushanbe tomorrow evening for a four-day working visit.

Led by Mr. Yu Xiaoxuan, Deputy Secretary-General of CFPD, the delegation is visiting Tajikistan at the invitation of Tajikistan’s ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

“While in Dushanbe, members of the CFPD delegation will hold talks with senior representatives of PDP, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population to discuss cooperation issues,” Usmon Soliyev, the head of the PDP public relations department, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

“Last year, CFPD donated computer technologies to the Dushanbe-based Presidential Lyceum for Talented Children and members of the CFPD delegation are scheduled to visit the Lyceum during this visit as well,” said Soliyev.  “They will also get acquainted with activities of PDP’s primary organizations functioning in Dushanbe.”

Founded in January 2011, China Foundation for Peace and Development is a national non-profit organization. The Foundation aims to enhance people’s friendship, carry out international charities, further international cooperation, safeguard world peace and promote common development.

The main missions of CFPD are in striving for world peace and prosperity that CFPD aspires to through its increasing network of partners and implementation of numerous charity projects around the world in the sphere of education, better health care and so forth.
