DUSHANBE, September 11, 2014, Asia-Plus — A government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan on preventing and responding to emergency situations was signed in the Kazakh city of Almaty yesterday.

According to the press center of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan (CES), the document was inked by the CES head Khairiddin Abdurahimov and Kazakh Deputy Interior Minister, Vladimir Bozhko.

Under this agreement, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan will cooperate in preventing and responding to anthropogenic disasters, an official source at the CES said.

Tajik delegation was in Almaty to attend the seventh meeting of the Coordination Council on Emergency Situations of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member nations.
