DUSHANBE, September 12, 2014, Asia-Plus — The United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Jeffrey Feltman, has expressed gratitude to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for support and cooperation with the United Nations on cooperation issues.
Speaking at the SCO summit in Dushanbe, Ambassador Feltman noted on September 12 that the problems of regional security ahead of the planned drawdown of foreign forces in Afghanistan at the end of this year were among key topics of the summit.
The United Nations representative expressed hope that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will cooperate with other organizations on security, peace and human rights issues in the future as well.
