QURGHON TEPPA, September 20, 2014, Asia-Plus — Two people have been killed in the meat processing plant fire in Qurghon Teppa, the capital of Khatlon province.

According to the Khatlon fire department, the fire broke out in the confectionery workshop, which is located within the meat processing plant compound.

The fire broke out on the night of September 20 and destroyed an area of 84 square.  Two students from Qurghon Teppa State University, who were working at the confectionery workshop, were killed in the fire, which destroyed the confectionery workshop completely..

The Qurghon Teppa city prosecutor’s office has launched investigation into the incident.
