“Speaking at the meeting, MP Sattor Kholov noted that the amendments are proposed to the law for the purpose of preventing mass disorder that can be caused by participants of demonstrations,” Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to Kholov, who is the deputy head of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee Defense, Security and Public Order, adoption of the amendments will give an opportunity to ensure security of citizens during possible mass disorders.

Besides, the board discussed issues related to ratification of an agreement between Tajikistan and Bahrain on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income as well as the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents.

The board also endorsed the agenda of the next sitting of the sixth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation that will take place on October 15, Sultonov said.
