Organized by the Public Council of Tajikistan and the OSCE office in Tajikistan, a roundtable that will take place on October 22 is expected to bring together representatives of political parties, political scientists, experts and representatives of the CCER to discuss issues related to participation of political parties in the upcoming parliamentary elections and amendments made to the country’s election legislation, an official source at the CCER told Asia-Plus in an interview.

We will recall that all the eight political parties, officially registered in Tajikistan, will hold their pre-election congresses in December to determine their candidates to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
