Date:

DUSHANBE, November 14, 2014, Asia-Plus — According to the Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe, a new Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan arrived in Dushanbe yesterday.

Hojatollah Faghani was appointed a new Ambassador to Tajikistan last month, replacing Ali Asgar-Sherdoust.

Hojatollah Faghani took up his appointment this month.

Hojatollah Faghani had previously served as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

We will recall that Ali Asgar-Sherdoust’s tenure to Tajikistan ended in October last year and Seyed Mahmoud Sadri served as a caretaker Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan for more than a year.
