DUSHANBE, November 21, 2014, Asia-Plus – Turkmen national news agency TDH reports Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov yesterday received Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda, who arrived in Ashgabat to attend the CIS Council of Heads of Government.

In the course of the talks, Tajik prime minister reportedly noted that Tajikistan is interested in further expansion of bilateral cooperation with friendly Turkmenistan.

The two sides discussed a number of issues related to cooperation between their countries in both bilateral and multilateral formats.  

Tajikistan is interested in expansion of transport cooperation, Rasoulzoda said, noting that construction of a rail link connecting Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan will give a powerful impulse to further expansion of transport cooperation between the two countries.
