The Socialist Party and the Economic Reforms Party have already presented their party list of candidates for the lower house of Tajik Parliament to the Central Election Commission.

According to the Head of the Central Election Commission Administration,  Abdumannan Dadazadeh, the Socialist Party list consists of seven candidates, and the Economic Reforms Party has six candidates.

Mr. Dadazadeh said: “We expect to receive the list from the People’s Democratic Party and the Islamic Revival Party.”

According to him, persons listed will have to go through a background police check for court sentences. They will need to take a test on the knowledge of the Tajiki-Persian language, and then they will have to provide documents on their health and on their income.

The registration of candidates will begin 60 days before Election Day, and end 45 days before Election Day.
