In November, Tajikistan increased the supply of electricity to Afghanistan by 5.5 million kWt per house in comparison to the previous month.

According to the monthly report of the Tajik Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, during the month of November, 55.5 million kWt/h of electricity was supplied to Afghanistan from Sangtouda 1 and Sangtouda 2 power plants. This is 4.5 per cent of the total volume of electricity produced in Tajikistan in November.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the total volume of electricity produced in Tajikistan in the month of November was 1 billion 253 million kWt/h or 41.2 million kWt/h in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, strict electricity consumption measures have been introduced in Tajikistan since the beginning of October.
