DUSHANBE, January 5, 2015, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon has introduced staff changes to the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) government.

President Rahmon gave consent on appointing Nourali Rioyev first deputy governor of Gorno Badakhshan.

Rioyev, formerly head of the department for work with local authorities of President’s Executive Office, replaced Amrikhudo Damdor who was nominated to Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament from the party list of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Besides, President Rahmon gave consent on appointing Tojiddin Nazarshoyev deputy governor of Gorno Badakhshan.  

At one time, Colonel Tojiddin Nazarshoyev had served as chief of the Interior Ministry’s office for the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
