DUSHANBE, January 7, 2015, Asia-Plus — Three residents of the Mastchoh district in the northern Sughd province were arrested on January 5 on suspicion of drug pushing, the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press center reports.

Nine packages of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing 9.176 grams were confiscated from them.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug peddlers under the provisions of Article 200 (4) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – large-scale drug trafficking; an investigation is under way.
