DUSHANBE, January 21, 2015, Asia-Plus — The Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER) head Shermuhammad Shohiyon today received members of an election observation mission (EOM) deployed by the OSCE”s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) here to observe the March 1 parliamentary elections in Tajikistan.

Abdumannon Dodozoda, the head of the CCER’s office, says the sides exchanged views on issues related to preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections, implementation of ODIHR’s recommendations, establishment of constituencies and polling stations, electoral commissions, consideration of complaints and applications by electoral commissions, and registration of candidates.  

The CCER has reportedly worked out an instruction on participation of national and international observers within the election process.
