DUSHANBE, January 21, 2015, Asia-Plus — On Wednesday January 21, President Emomali Rahmon met with a group of newly appointed officials of the country’s power-wielding structures.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, chiefs of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Interior and the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense were replaced.

Fayzali Sharifzoda was appointed to head the Police Academy and Ahliddin Majidov was appointed to head the Military Instituted.  

Besides, the chiefs of the Police College of the Ministry of Interior and the Military Lyceum of the Ministry of Defense were replaced.  

Heads of some departments of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior as well as commanders of some military units and the chief of the Khorog border unit were also replaced, the source said.
