DUSHANBE, February 10, 2015, Asia-Plus – A resident of Dushanbe has been arrested on suspicion of raping his children.

The Interior Ministry’s website reports that J.M., 47, was arrested on February 7 on suspicion of raping his 22-year-old daughter and committing sodomy against his 14-year-old son.

The preliminary investigation has reportedly established that J.M. raped his daughter in December 2014 and committed sodomy against this son on February 3 this year.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against J.M. and an investigation is under way.

The Interior Ministry’s website notes that J.M. had previous drug trafficking conviction.  He was detained in and convicted in the Russian Federation.
