DUSHANBE, February 13, 2015, Asia-Plus – An official website of Russia’s Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) reports 23 members of a drug smuggling ring engaged in smuggling Afghan heroin into Russia out of Tajikistan have been detained in Moscow.

The majority of them are reportedly natives of Tajikistan. 

According to the FSKN’s website, more than 40 kilograms of heroin have been seized.

The FSKN’s website says Russian drug control officers found the trace of members of this drug smuggling ring in late 2014 when a couple was detained near the drug cache in Izmaylovsky Park
