DUSHANBE, February 13, 2015, Asia-Plus – By president’s decree head of the Committee on Religious Affairs ad Regulation of National Traditions and Rituals under the Government of Tajikistan has been replaced.

Sulaymon Davlatov, formerly Chancellor of the Islamic University of Tajikistan, was appointed to head the Committee on Religious Affairs ad Regulation of National Traditions and Rituals, replacing Abdurahim Kholiqzoda.

Fayzullo Boboyev was appointed Head of the Center for Islamic Studies under the President of Tajikistan, replacing Murodullo Davlatov.

We will recall that Abdurahim Kholiqzoda and Murodullo Davlatov have been nominated by Tajik ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) to run for election to the lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon)  of the parliament (Majlisi Oli).

Tojiddin Asomuddinzoda, who had previously served as deputy head of the Committee on Religious Affairs ad Regulation of National Traditions and Rituals, was appointed Chancellor of the Islamic University of Tajikistan.
