DUSHANBE, February 18, 2015, Asia-Plus – Chief prosecutors of the provinces and Dushanbe have reportedly been dismissed.
“Chief prosecutor of Sughd province Sharif Qurbonzoda, chief prosecutor of Khatlon province Sirojiddin Nourzoda, chief prosecutor of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) Mohammad Arbobzoda and chief prosecutor of Dushanbe Mirzosharif Sharifzoda were relieved of their posts today” an official source at the Prosecutor-General’s Office told Asia-Plus Wednesday afternoon.
According to him, new chief prosecutors of the provinces and the capital city will be appointed within the next few days upon the recommendation of the president.
We will recall that speaking at a session of the Security Council, President Rahmon ordered on February 17 that all deputy prosecutor-generals and chief prosecutors of the provinces must be replaced.
