DUSHANBE, February 18, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda today began a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the Interior Ministry press center, Tajik minister will hold talks with heads of relevant Iranian agencies to discuss state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan in combating terrorism, extremism, and trafficking in drugs and weapons.
Rahimzoda is scheduled to hold talks with his Iranian counterpart Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and to visit NAJA University of Police (NUP).
We will recall Ramazon Rahimzoda met with Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli in Dushanbe on September 10, 2014. The ministers welcomed the signing of a government-to-government agreement on cooperation in the field of law-and-order, providing security and combating crime. Rahimzoda reportedly pointed to the necessity of combing efforts to address modern challenges and threats. The ministers exchanged views on issues related to exchange of experience and training of personnel. Iranian interior minister invited his Tajik counterpart to visit Iran at any convenient time for him.
