DUSHANBE, February 28, 2015, Asia-Plus – On Friday February 27, Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister, Nizomiddin Zohidi, met here with Lieutenant-General Muhammad Ahsan Mahmood, Chairman of the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Board, according to the Tajik MFA information department.      

The two reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan.

They also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan, the source aid.

The Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) is a major firearms, defense contractor, and military corporation.  Founded in 1951 by the Government of Pakistan with the early collaboration came from the British Royal Ordnance Factory, the POF engineers, develops, produces, manufactures, and promotes the wide range of different types of infantry and special purpose weapons, explosives, ammunition, mortars, rockets, and the military gear for Pakistan”s military.  The POF is the earliest and one of the largest military corporations in Pakistan, and later influenced many other military corporations of Inter-Services to establish its own industry based on the POF.
