DUSHANBE, March 12, 2015, Asia-Plus — Resident of the Rasht district (eastern Tajikistan), N. Mahmadov, 39, has been detained in Dushanbe for illegal weapons possession.

The Interior Ministry’s website reports Dushanbe police officers on March 11 found one assault rifle Kalashnikov, pneumatic staple gun, two knives and black mask while searching Mahmadov’s Mercedes-Benz.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Mahmadov and an investigation is under, the source said.
