DUSHANBE, March 19, 2015, Asia-Plus — Resident of Dushanbe, Ms. Qibriyokhon Abdulloyeva, 47, was detained at the Dushanbe airport yesterday for illegal foreign-currency outflow, according to the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan.

An inspection of passengers on the Dushanbe-Mashhad (Iran) flight found 37,207 USD and more than 350,000 Iranian Rials (IRR) in undeclared currency in a luggage belonging to Ms. Qibriyokhon Abdulloyeva.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against her under the provisions of two articles of Tajikistan’s Penal Code: Article 32 – criminal attempt and Article 289 – smuggling; an investigation is under way.
