DUSHANBE, May 27, 2015, Asia-Plus — An international auto race will be held over the mountain roads of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan from June 1-10.
According to the CIS Road Transport Council, the auto race is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and the 20th anniversary of the CIS Road Transport Council Secretariat.
The race will start in the settlement of Khorgos on the Kazakh-Chinese border and run through the territories of Kazakhstan (Almaty), Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek, Kara-Balta, Toktogul, Kara-Kul, Jalal-Abad, Uzgen, Osh, and Batken) and Tajikistan (Khujand, Istaravshan, Dushanbe, Hisor, and Tursunzoda). A total length of the race is 2,206 kilometers.
Representatives of transportation sector from the CIS nations and other countries are expected to participate in the upcoming auto race.
Three conferences are scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the race: on June 2 in Almaty; on June 4 in Bishkek; and on June 9 in Tursunzoda.
