DUSHANBE, July 6, 2015, Asia-Plus  – A 30-year-old woman from the Yovon district, P.A., decided to go to her account and threw her three children into the Hisor Canal and then jumped in herself.

Orif Nozimov, a spokesman for the Committee on Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES), says the tragedy occurred on July 4.

“P.A., who was temporarily living in Dushanbe, threw three children – the 5-year-old Omina, the 6-year-old Mahina and the 7-year-old Ziyovuddin – into the Hisor Canal and then jumped in herself,” Nozimov said.

According to him, rescuers managed to save only the woman while the children were drowned.  She was hospitalized to the national Medical Center in Dushanbe.  Physicians say she decided to committee suicide after her husband had abandoned her and got married to another woman.
