Dushanbe. 2 September. “Asia Plus” — On Tuesday Emomali Rakhmon has arrived in China and today, in his temporary residence in Beijing, he received the Head of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Bank of China, Liu Shiyu.

As reports the press service of the president, at the meeting Emomali Rakhmon expressed the satisfaction with the level of cooperation of Tajikistan with China and that the Chinese Agricultural Bank, along with other financial and banking institutions, is involved in the implementation of joint projects.

China Agricultural Bank in the framework of the signed in September 2014 an agreement “On cooperation in the agricultural sector,” which provides for the allocation of $ 100 million for the development of the agricultural sector in Tajikistan, has implemented a number of projects to develop new lands.

To date, the parties shall consider the implementation of projects in the fields of horticulture, improvement of irrigation systems, animal husbandry, poultry, agricultural products processing.

E. Rakhmon said that the Agrarian Bank of China needs to strengthen cooperation with banks in Tajikistan, especially with SSB “Amonatbank”.

The sides paid special attention to the establishment of Tajik imports of agricultural products, especially cherries to the markets in China.
