Dushanbe. 3 September. “Asia Plus” — A resident of Metc village of Ganchi district, pensioner Norbibi Dustmurodova, has built two road bridges on her own expense that had been saving for Hajj.

Speaking at the commissioning the bridges that connect Metc and Hishekat villages of Ganchi district, the head of the Sogd region Abdurahmon Kodiri called the initiative of the female patron “exploits and role model for others.”

According to Norbibi Dustmurodovoy, for 16 years she has saved a certain amount from her pension benefits and incomes from farming with the intention to make a pilgrimage in the holy places of Islam – Mecca and Medina. “Seeing the difficulties and suffering faced by the locals because of the lack of bridges, especially in the rainy season and floods in this mountainous area, I decided to build two bridges on collected 105,000 somoni. I hope that God will accept my good intentions instead of Hajj in the holy places”, she said in an interview with AP.

As a sign of gratitude for her good deeds the Head of the region Abdurahmon Kodiri gave Norbibi Dustmurodovoy a TV and satin and adras fabrics and wished this noble woman long life and happiness.
