Ulema Council called “martyrs” the killed MIA workers that died during a shootout

Dushanbe. 7 September. “Asia Plus” — Ulema Council called martyrs the killed workers of Ministry of Internal Affairs that died during a shootout with an armed group of former Deputy Defense Minister of Tajikistan, the rebel General Abduhalim Nazarzoda (Khoji Halim).

As was reported on the official website of the Ulema Council of Tajikistan, the Council expresses his condolences to the families and friends of the killed officers, who were victims of gang shootout, headed by former Deputy Defense Minister of Tajikistan.

“They defended our homeland by sacrificing their lives. We are confident that the officers, who were defending Islamic values, defending the homeland, and sacrificing their lives, became martyrs”, – said the Ulema Council.

Recall that on September 4, at 4:28 was an armed attack on DMIA in Vahdat and, misleading his subordinates, Khoji Halim`s grouping has appropriated a large number of weapons and ammunition from the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan. At the moment, the Ministry of Interior Affairs reports about the elimination of 17 and detention of 40 members of Nazarzoda`s group. Nazarov”s younger brother has surrendered to authorities. Nazarzoda himself is hiding in the mountains of Ramit Gorge.
