More than 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid delivered to Tajikistan in Jan-Aug 2015

DUSHANBE, September 16, 2015, Asia-Plus – Thirty-six countries of the world have provided 24.5 million U.S. dollars worth of more than 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first six months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the same eight-month period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from Germany – 34.7 percent; the Netherlands – 13.7 percent; Denmark – 8.2 percent; the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – 7.3 percent; Russia – 4.2 percent; Afghanistan and Austria – 3.8 percent each; China – 3.3 percent; India – 3.1 percent; Latvia – 2.8 percent; Iran – 2.2 percent; Kuwait – 2.0 percent; France – 1.7 percent; Norway – 1.2 percent; and others.
