DUSHANBE, October 23, 2015, Asia-Plus – On Thursday October 22, Mr. Sharif Said, Head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), met here with Mr. Tariq Iqbal Soomro, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan.
According to the CCI press center, the two discussed trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
Sharif Said reportedly expressed satisfaction with expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and pointed to the necessity of intensifying direct relations between representatives of Tajik and Pakistani business communities.
He noted that Tajikistan could export fresh fruits and vegetables, juices and soft drinks, dried fruits and honey.
Pakistan, for its part, could offer fruit and vegetable seeds, citruses, potatoes and seafoods to Tajikistan, Said noted.
Mr. Tariq Iqbal Soomro pointed to the necessity of exchanging information about enterprises and companies interested in getting into Pakistani and Tajik markets, the CCI press center said.
