reports that Kunduz authorities on Monday claimed religious students at a madrasa in Dasht-i-Archi district of Kunduz province were undergoing training to carry out suicide and other terrorist attacks.

Nasruddin Nazari, the Dasht-i-Archi district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the seminary named ‘Kokcha’ was in Shinwari area, about four kilometers from the district center.

“I have shared the issue several times with local officials, but no action has so far taken. Two weeks ago, Afghan forces bombarded a nearby area but spared the madrasa,” Nazari said.

Kunduz Governor Asadullah Omarkhil has confirmed that the seminary students were undergoing training in acts of terrorism.
