DUSHANBE, June 3, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister, Muzaffar Huseinov, yesterday met here with visiting Israeli parliamentary delegation, led by Ms. Sharren Haskel, Head of the Israel-Tajikistan Interparliamentary Group, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
Israeli Ambassador to Tajikistan with residence in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Ms. Carmela Shamir, also attended the meeting.
The two sides reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Israel in the fields of energy, agriculture, industry, health care, education, science, culture, and tourism.
In this context, they pointed to the necessity of extending legal foundation of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the source said.
The sides also exchanged views on a number of other issues being of mutual interest.
Sharren Haskel (born March 4, 1984) is an Israeli member of the Knesset for Likud. She is the youngest member of Likud and the second youngest member of the 20th Knesset.
We will recall that the Israeli parliamentary delegation arrived in Dushanbe yesterday on a five-day visit.
