A large party of contraband perfumes and hygiene products were detained in Rudaki district which borders with Dushanbe.

According to the press service of Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, during the inspection of the house of a resident – S. Z. – of this area were found goods worth more than 1 million somoni, which have been arrived from China through smuggling into the country.

It is noted that in March this year a citizen S. Z. purchased from unfamiliar China people 24 name perfumes and hygiene products that have been imported on the territory of Tajikistan without customs clearance. Acquired goods he kept in an apartment house in Rudaki district for the purpose of further implementation.

According to the results of the National Audit Office analysis of the activity of pharmaceutical service of RT, the seized goods do not meet the requirements.

According to this fact a criminal case under article 259 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan was initiated.
