15 families from Dashti Kozi village of Yeri Jamoat and Shurcha village of Khalif Hasan Jamoat of Panjakent, which completely lost their homes as a result of heavy rains and floods in May this year, had moved into new houses.

During the working visit last Saturday to Zeravshan valley the Chairman of Sughd region Abdurahmon Kodiri has visited the injured from the disaster area Dashti Kozi and handed over to 7 heads of household the keys and relevant documents from new homes.

On the same day the head of the region took part in the ceremony of moving into new houses 8 families of Shurcha village of Khalif Hasan Jamoat, whose houses were completely destroyed by mudflows.

In conversation with the residents of these villages Abdurahmon Kodiri said that immediately after the disaster, according to the instructions of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, all the victims of Dashti Kozi, Shurcha and other villages of Penjikent were evacuated to safe places, hotels and private homes, provided with food and necessities.
