Members of the Parliament of Tajikistan will take the law “On Amnesty”

The speaker of the lower chamber of Parliament of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov today, August 23, held a regular meeting of the Council Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic, on which was reviewed the proposed on August 17 by the President of the country Emomali Rahmon the draft law “On Amnesty”.

As reported the source in the country”s Parliament, tomorrow, August 24, at 10 a.m. at the first extraordinary session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of the fifth convocation the deputies will accept the aforementioned bill.

Today, at the Council meeting were discussed the issues related to ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates on the transfer of sentenced persons, agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the state of Kuwait on cooperation in the field of security.

By the decision of the parliamentary Council, the draft amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On combating terrorism” was returned for revision.

The Council also adopted a decision on the business trip of deputies of Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in the cities and districts of the republic, which will take place at the end of August and early September of this year.
