In Dushanbe on 24 August, was held a meeting of the Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Abdusalom Kurboniyon with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Tajikistan Hajime Kitaoka.

According to the Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, during the meeting the parties paid special attention to the issues of further development and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and the opportunities to attract investment in promising sectors of Tajikistan”s economy, particularly in industry, trade, transport, and exchanged their views on the feasibility of opening air routes between Tajikistan and Japan.

The parties paid special attention to the process of implementation of joint interstate projects that would contribute to the economic development of Tajikistan.
