Five killed, three injured in Hisor traffic accident

Five persons were killed and three others were injured on September 22 as two vehicles collided in the Hisor district.

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the accident took place near the village of Navbahor at around 01:30 am.

Mitsubishi driven by a 23-year-old resident of the Hisor district, who was in a state of drunkenness, reportedly went into oncoming traffic and collided with Opel-Astra, driven by a 41-year-old resident of the Bokhtar district (Khatlon province).

As a result of the collision, the Opel-Astra driver and his four passengers died on the spot, while the Mitsubishi driver and his two passengers sustained various injuries and were taken to the Hisor central hospital.
