The senators called Emomali Rahmon rescuer of the nation, the founder of the first national statehood of Tajiks

The members of the upper chamber of the Parliament of Tajikistan unanimously gave the law "On the founder of the peace and national unity – the Leader of the nation" the status of constitutional law.

In the speech on this issue, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the country, a member of the upper house of Parliament of Tajikistan Farhod Rahimi called the nation's Leader Emomali Rahmon the founder of the first national statehood of Tajiks.

Senator from Gorno-Badakhshan Arambegim Matobshoeva noted that in 24 years of leadership Rahmon has 56 times visited GBAO and his every visit gave a positive impetus to the development of the region. "Some of the leaders of Soviet Tajikistan has never visited GBAO and knew nothing about the problems of the population of this region", said Matobshoeva.

Senator from Sogd, Rahmon Shohrahmatov, said that Emomali Rahmon is the savior of Tajik nation, as his wise policy has stopped the civil war in the country.

The speaker of the upper house of Parliament Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloev noted that Rahmon urged all the opponents of Roghun Hydropower Plant in the necessity of this project. "When the leader of the nation on October 29, driving a bulldozer, has personally blocked the riverbed of Vakhsh river, for half an hour all Tajikistan prayed that nothing happened to a bulldozer", – added Ubaidulloev.

Recall that according to the accepted by the deputies of the lower chamber of the Parliament on the 26^th of October constitutional law on leader of the nation in the Republic of Tajikistan will be created a special Fund of the Leader of the nation, will be established the order of the national Leader and Award Leader of the nation. At that time the deputies of the lower chamber of Tajik Parliament unanimously voted in favor of giving Emomali Rahmon the status of founder of the independent Tajikistan.

On the 8^th of November the senators have also approved the adoption of the constitutional law of the RT "On social welfare, maintenance and protection of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan".
