Individual entrepreneurs’ income taxes reportedly account for 80% of the Dushanbe budget.

In a report on the implementation of the city budget released at a session of the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis), Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev said yesterday that 80 percent comes from the income taxes paid by individual entrepreneurs, and the rest from other sources, according to the Dushanbe administration press center.

This year, the share of the private sector reportedly accounted for 99 percent in the city’s trade turnover and 87.8 percent in the field of rendering paid services to the population.

The current number of individual entrepreneurs in Dushanbe is 31,299 people, which is 4.1 percent or 1,246 people more than in last year.

71 industrial enterprises that have been launched in Dushanbe this year have created 2,826 new jobs, the mayor noted.

An average monthly wage this year in Dushanbe has been 1,589 somoni (about US$200.00 at the official rate).  Compared to the last year, the average monthly wage has reportedly risen 6.5 percent this year.  In 2015, the average monthly wage in Dushanbe amounted to 1,492 somoni.
