De La Rue, which is one of the world’s largest banknote manufacturers, has presented its products at the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) in Dushanbe, according to the NBT press center.
Representatives of De La Rue have reportedly met here with Mr. Jamoliddin Nouraliyev, First Deputy Head of NBT, Ms. Lola Salimova, Deputy Head of NBT, Mr. Homidullo Mashrabzoda, Deputy Head of NBT, as well as senior representatives of Tajikistan’s commercial banks.
De La Rue representatives briefed the meeting participants on their company’s activities, the NBT press center said.
De La Rue is a banknote manufacturer, security printing of passports and tax stamps, brand authentication and papermaking company with headquarters in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. It also has a factory on the Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, and other facilities at Loughton, Essex and Bathford, Somerset. There are overseas offices in Kenya, Sri Lanka and Malta. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
De La Rue sells high-security paper and printing technology for over 150 national currencies. The company prints banknotes of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
The company also prints passports, driving licenses and other documents, manufactures currency detectors and calculating machines and participates in development of new document protection technologies.
Recall, Germany’s Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) prints currency for Tajikistan.
