On Wednesday March 29, Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali received a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) led by First Vice President Phil Bennett.
According to the press center of the mayor’s office, the sides discussed state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Dushanbe and the Bank.
They, in particular, discussed attraction of EBRD’s investments in Dushanbe’s economy.
A special attention was reportedly paid to development of private sector in Dushanbe, reconstruction of the city roads and modernization of industrial enterprises based in Dushanbe.
To-date, the EBRD has provided more than 18.2 million U.S. dollars to support development of water supply, public transportation and solid waste management in the Tajik capital.
The sides reportedly noted that that amount was enough.
