The first private correctional education center for preschoolers with speech impediments has opened in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province.
An official opening ceremony of the center that took place on May 31 was attended by Khujand Deputy Mayor, Ms. Rano Hoshimzoda.
The center is reportedly intended to accommodate 80 preschoolers with speech disorders aged 2 to 7. 30 children with speech disorders are currently attending the center.
Schoolchildren with speech disorders will also have an opportunity to attend the center at set hours.
Twelve specialists, including three pathologists, one nurse, two tutors, one neuropathologist, one psychologist and cook, now work for the center.
