Asia-Plus

The weapon, found in the evening of August 14 in a garage in the east of Moscow, has nothing to do with the detainees on the same day suspected of organizing terrorist acts, TASS reported citing a source in law enforcement agencies of the city.

He confirmed that pistols, grenades and ammunition of various calibres were found in the cache. Also, according to him, a criminal case was initiated under Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms, their main parts, ammunition").

He added that all weapons found in the near future will be sent to the ballistic examination.

In the evening of August 14, the source of Interfax in the law enforcement agencies of the capital told the agency that in the east of Moscow a large cache of weapons was found, which could have belonged to the militants detained the same day. Weapons and ammunition to them were found in one of the garages in the Golyanovo region.
