Is there enough money for all the depositors of “Tajprombank”?

Asia-Plus

Why is the liquidation of property so slowly going on, what else is done to repay the loans, and can the deceived investors hope to get their money back? We addressed these questions to the special administrator who came to replace the interim administration and carrying out the bank's liquidation process, Takdir Sharifov, candidate of economic sciences.

The sale of the bank's property began in March 2017. Most of the employees have long been dismissed, and a small part of the remaining specialists are working on documentation relating to the return of funds and the sale of bank assets.

Tkadir Sharifov said that the property of the bank as a whole is estimated at 450 million somoni, and this is enough to return deposits to all the bank's creditors

"Currently, two cotton factories have been sold: in Gissar and Jami district; Two traiding centers; A branch of the bank in Penjikent; Houses and apartments. Some of the objects were purchased by our depositors, paying off their loans and paying part of the cost in cash, "he explains. – There are almost no buyers "from the outside".

According to the common opinion of the depositors with whom we communicated with near bank, the prices for all the sold objects are extremely overstated, therefore, not only "external" buyers are not on them, but most of the "aggregated" depositors of the bank do not agree to take them as their deposits.

However, Takdir Sharifov does not agree with their opinion.

"For 4 months "Tajprombank" repaid its debts and debts to creditors of different categories for 57 million somoni," Sharifov says. In addition, about 40 funds in the form of bank assets, cars, apartments,  houses and other property were given to the credit account. The process is underway. If the commission went to reduce prices, then, perhaps, property would be easier to sell. However, another question arises: will there be enough proceeds to pay off with our remaining creditors?"

In his opinion, an attempt to reduce the price of the bank's assets would lead to the accusation of the special administration in fraud for the purpose of further appropriation.

Where did the "running" objects disappear, which were originally put up for sale? And why did the former chairman of “Tajprombank” Jamshed Ziyaev get summoned to the prosecutor's office?
