Uzbek National Air Company "Uzbekiston Havo Yullari" changed schedule of flights on the direction Tashkent-Dushanbe-Tashkent.

"Flights for the period from 2 to 30 September this year will be carried out on Saturdays on comfortable A320” airliners,"Uzbekiston Havo Yullari” website said.

Regular flights between Dushanbe and Tashkent started in April this year. The first flight took place on April 11. Flights on the route Tashkent-Dushanbe-Tashkent are carried out by the Uzbek airline "Uzbekistan Havo Yullari".

Initially, the Uzbek airline performed two flights a week – on Tuesdays and Fridays. Now there is only Tuesday.

"The Uzbek airline went on reduction of flights because of low passenger traffic," said Transport Minister of Tajikistan.

Earlier, the airline was also informed that the reason for the reduction of flights to Tajikistan was a low passenger flow, rejecting the political background, adding that the flight became unprofitable.

The right to fly on this route from the Tajik side was provided to Somon Air, but it did not start flights to Tashkent

"The airline carries out preparatory work it is engaged in accreditation of its representation in Tashkent. Perhaps, if there is enough passenger traffic, the airline will start flights to Tashkent" said Transport Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Khudoyor Khudoyorzoda.

Recall that the cost of a ticket for a plane to Tashkent is $ 140.

Recently, the post of the head of "Uzbekistan Havo Yullari" left Valery Tyan. The airline's CEO appointed Ulugbek Rozukulov, who on August 23, by presidential decree, was dismissed from his post as Uzbekistan's deputy prime minister and chairman of the board of “Uzavtosanoat”. Valery Tyan headed the National Airline since June 2002. Before that, from 1998 to 2002, he was in charge of the State Inspectorate for Safety Supervision.
