200,000 more clients of Megafon Tajikistan in Sughd get access to mobile Internet

Cellular operator Megafon Tajikistan is continuing to extend its coverage area in the northern Sughd province.

As a result of technical work carried out in August and September this year, the company’s clients in 14 settlements of Ayni, Isfara, Asht, Istaravshan, Bobojon-Ghafourov and Jabbor-Rasoulov districts have reportedly got access to mobile Internet at the speed of 42 mbit/s.

According to Daler Naimov, the head of Megafon Tajikistan’s office in Sughd, one of the main tasks of the operator is in providing access to mobile Internet for its client living in remote villages of the province.  

“Over the last two months alone, 3G Internet has covered an area, where some 200,000 people live,” Naimov added.
