The authorities of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) jointly with the Interior Ministry have reportedly offered local unemployed residents job vacancies in other regions of the country.

Ms. Nazira Amirbekzoda, Deputy Governor of GBAO, says 250 job vacancies have been offered to local unemployed residents.

“The main purpose of this initiative is in providing decent works for local unemployed youth,” she said.

According to her, GBAO Governor Yodgor Fayzov and Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda have supported that initiative.

“We cannot provide jobs for all local unemployed youth in the region, and therefore, we offer them job vacancies in other regions of the country,” Amirbekzoda added.

Thus, they reportedly offer 100 jobs at the site for construction of the Roghun hydropower plant and at the Interior Ministry guard subunits.

Besides, they offer 100 job vacancies in Dushanbe, districts subordinate to the center as well as Khatlon and Sughd provinces.

More than 90 people have already responded to an offer to work at the site for construction of the Roghun hydropower plant.
