Davlatali Said discussed the implementation of a new oncology project with IAEA experts

A new project for the regional Oncology Center was discussed.

The Chairman of the Khatlon region, Davlatali Said, held a meeting with experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Participants in the meeting included Sandra Steiskal, IAEA project manager in Tajikistan, Olivier Pellet, radiologist and national coordinator of the IAEA in Tajikistan, Ilkhom Mirsaiidzoda, director of the Agency for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, and Olimjon Azizi, head of the management and public relations department of the Agency for CBRN Safety of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The meeting was organized to implement a new project for the regional Oncology Center. The parties specifically discussed issues related to the procurement of modern diagnostic equipment and the training of professional specialists.

There was an exchange of opinions on the practical aspects and stages of cooperation in improving medical care for patients with oncological diseases in the Khatlon region.

The project is an important step in strengthening the medical infrastructure of the region and enhancing the level of diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases.
