with serious problems because of broken obligation on water transit. The corresponding governmental telegram was sent to Uzbek Vice Prime Minister Rustam Asimov by Kazakh Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeev, reported Rosbalta with reference to Government”s press office.

has bought Kyrgyz electricity since July 11 in order to get irrigation water for Maktaaralsky rayon of South Kazakh oblast. Water volume has reduced in Dostyk channel to 25 cubic meters per second instead of 85 cubic meters per second. The situation with 145 cubic meters per second distribution between

has not changed, 80 cubic meters per second are stayed in Ferghana valley and 65 cubic meters per second are stayed in Kayrakum reservoir,” reads the Prime Minister”s message.
Vice PM charged the corresponding ministries and departments to solve the question of water supplying till July 20. Otherwise, purchasing of expensive Kyrgyz electricity will stop.

“I ask you to make the corresponding measures on improving this situation,” reads the telegram.
Chair of Committee on Water Resources under the Agricultural Minister Anatoly Ryabtcev said that there is no supplying of irrigation water to Dostyk channel from
Uzbekistan
during the press conference in Shymkent on July 18. The lack of irrigation water will lead to harvest failure in Maktaraalalsky rayon of South Kazakh oblast.
