Almaty hosts a meeting on energy, agriculture and water management of CA countries

On September 18 and 19 meeting on questions of energy, agriculture and water management of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan Tajikistan and Turkmenistan took place in Almaty. Ministers and representavies of governmental organizations participated in the meeting.

Similar meeting was held on September 9 and 10 with participation of representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, reported Ministry of Industry and Energy

Parties discussed question of mutual supply of natural gas, residual oil, coal and electricity for the fall-winter term of 2009-2010.

Turkmen party was asked to consider possibility of energy supply in capacity of 1 billion kWh starting IV quarter 2008 until I quarter 2009 to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Kazakhstan, in its turn, considered energy supply in capacity of 250 million kWh in IV quarter 2008 and I quarter 2009 to Kyrgyzstan.
