Kyrgyzstan requires $8.2 billion for implementation of the Country Development Strategy 2009-2011, Akylbek Japarov, the Kyrgyz Minister of Economic Development and Trade said on Wednesday, January 28.
The given amount will be based on Kyrgyz state budget – $4.8 billion, private sector and investment projects – $2.8 billion. The rest $600 million will be provided by partners in development sphere – international financial institutes.
The Country Development Strategy project contains the main duties of the country administration, which are to react to the external shock facts, to decrease shortage of power supply and agriculture, to monitor and evaluate the projects’ implementation, Akylbek Japarov informed. For the last item already 168 indicators were defined. “Approximate amounts are registered there on the yearly basis, and any time using this table and seeing the requirements you can control their implementation,” Japarov said.
